Our youngest has never ever eaten pizza - refused to because of all the sauce and textures and flavours mixed up. For the past year I've been making our own pizzas at home. Anyway, about 2 weeks ago, I cannot even remember how it came about, but on the Saturday night, amongst the chaos of making about 10 pizzas for us and neighbours, he pipes up with "can I have a cheese pizza"
a) hates pizza b) hates cheese - cue mouth on the floor moment. So before he could change his mind, I rolled out a base and stuck on some cheese (nothing else, not even sauce) and baked that sucker as fast as I could - little man ate half a pizza #soproud
So the next weekend, in amongst pizza making chaos, I asked him if he would like a pizza - he replied with yes but he also wanted chicken on.
Cue a shredded chicken and cheese pizza - ate 3/4. Tonight on my way home from work, I rang home to find out what the boys wanted for dinner, little man insisted on pizza - this time we added sliced hotdogs sausages and he ate the entire pizza.
I think the win came for us because we just continued with pizza night even though he didn't have pizza (I always made him something else) but seeing everyone get into the pizza making must have sparked something with him.
So parents.... there is hope xx
